Monk Fryston Hall wedding photographer FNS Weddings are familiar with Monk Fryston Hall and as wedding photographers, dedicated to creating stunning Monk Fryston Hall wedding photos.

Monk Fryston Hall – a stately manor house set in the Vale of York.  With over 30 acres of superby landscaped gardens, it’s own lake, woodland and replica Lucerne bridge Monk Fryston Hall lends itself to some fabulous photo opportunities for your wedding day photography.  Situated in the heart of the Vale of York, Monk Fryston Hall can be found in the village of Monk Fryston – only a short drive from the A1M and M62 motorways making it a convenient venue to reach for you and your guests. It is, without doubt, a most impressive building with stone architecture a – some of which dates back over 800 years. It makes a stunning backdrop for fabulous wedding photographs.

If you have booked or are considering holding your wedding at Monk Fryston Hall we would love to talk to you about becoming your wedding photographers.

We are frequently asked if we have worked at a particular wedding venue before. As one of the UK’s top wedding photographers we have worked at literally hundreds of wedding venues across the country, indeed across the world, so frequently the answer is no. However, as you can see from the photographs on this page this is not the case with the Monk Fryston Hall – with which we are very familiar – having photographed weddings there on numerous occasions. Monk Fryston Hall is one location we would love photograph again soon.

A Monk Fryston Hall Wedding – A Venue With A Wealth Of History

As mentioned previously, parts of Monk Fryston Hall date back over 800 years and evidence of this history can be seen in the form of original stonework with huge Inglenook fireplaces and vaulted ceilings in parts.  When the Bishop of York gave land to Benedictine Monks in the 12th – 13th century Monk Fryston Hall became a monastery.  In the 18th century the owners of Monk Fryston Hall added a zoo, an aviary and created a boating lake together with a replica of Lucerne Bridge along with carvings from the “Rhyme of The Ancient Mariner”.  Whilst the lake and bridge remains today the zoo and aviary are no longer in existence, the gardens however are a delight with stone steps, arches and a fountain we are spoilt for choice for fabulour formal and more casual wedding images here.  A step inside finds Oak paneled rooms, imposing staircase and balcony together with wooden arched doorways – all of which help us to create some great “Wedding Art” imagery in this venue.
